Fall in the 'hood

These pictures don't really do justice to how beautiful my neighborhood is this time of year. I just snapped these in walking a few houses in each direction. Those old and leafy trees, which were such a liability in our early summer storms, are a source of beauty and awe now. At every glance, we indeed see "every common bush (and tree!) afire with God."

Those are very pretty colors. Our pretty colors all blew away yesterday and then the flowers froze last night.
